Installation for laser gas pyrolysis
(Heterophase Optical Processes Laboratory)

The device allows to measure the absorption spectra in the mid-IR region (9600 - 350 cm-1) and Raman spectra in the Stokes field in the range 4350 - 100 cm-1) with excitation at 976 nm (10 246 cm-1).

The spectral resolution of the interferometer 0.4 cm-1;
The accuracy of the wave number of 0.01 cm-1;
Signal to noise ratio better than 50 000:1 (peak to peak at 1 min scan);
Source with electronic temperature control ETC EverGlo ™ for mid / far-infrared (9600 - 20 cm-1);
Beamsplitter XT / KBr (11,000-350 cm-1);
Highly sensitive detector DTGS electro-cooled (12,500-350 cm-1);

Unit equipment allows to measure the the spectra:

  • nonpolar liquids (liquid demountable cell widths from 0.015 to 0.5 mm from the windows of potassium bromide)
  • powders (attachment of multiple frustrated total internal reflection with crystal ZnSe, attachment of the diffuse reflection spectra measured in transmission in the tablet with potassium bromide)
  • a thin layer of polar liquids (attachment of multiple frustrated total internal reflection with crystal ZnSe, the optical path length of about 10 microns)
  • polymer films and plastic materials (attachment of multiple frustrated total internal reflection with crystal ZnSe).
