A new nanostructure has been created - a luminescent nanodiamond coated with porous silicon oxide for use as a multifunctional platform in nanomedicine.

Targeted delivery of the drug to the cancer cell using composite nanoparticles was performed.

a) Nanodiamonds are localized in endosomal visicles, the glow of NV centers.
b) The drug (dye) is released into the cytoplasm, the glow of the dye.
